What we've been up to lately

This week has seemed to fly by! In a way I'm kind of glad. We have a lot to look forward to next month so I'm itching for April to get here. I can't wait to share all the fun things April is bringing, hopefully in a few more days I can. This post is probably going to be all over the place and pretty random, bare with me.

Last week I was pretty down, my hormones have been in full swing
lately. Poor Brody, one minute I'm up beat about something and then next I'm down in the dumps or just impatient and grumpy. I'm trying to keep all my feelings in check but man!! Anyway, I've been said because I haven't been able to go home and my parents haven't been able to come up here because they are in the middle of remodeling their kitchen. So my sweet sister came into town last Thursday to hang out with us for the weekend. We hadn't planned on doing too much, we usually do a little shopping, a lot of eating, and just being down right lazy. Friday morning we woke up and had just planned on vegging around here for a while and then the door bell rang at 9:00, I started not to answer it as we all were still in our pajamas having breakfast but Wade loves to see who is behind the door so we opened it up and boy was I glad we did. There stood my sweet beautiful Momma. She drove up for the day to surprise me and take my sister and I to lunch. We had so much fun and some MUCH needed girl time!!

Grammy bought Wade a sucker after lunch, he sure enjoyed it!!
Tired boy after a long
"girls" day!

After church on Sundays, Wade likes for us to take the back roads so he can help Daddy "drive." He's so stinking cute about it, he always asked to honk the
horn and when he does he grins from ear to ear and waves at the road as their is usually nobody else to wave at on the dirt roads.

He's very big on getting out of the bath right now and cuddling up in his recliner with a bowl of popcorn and a cartoon before bed.

We sure have been enjoying this warm weather around here. Wade was fighting ear infections a lot last month and I think a lot of it was due to the cool, windy weather. We are loving all our play time in the back yard each evening. I wish I could post more pictures from these last few evenings, unfortunately Wade thinks there is something wonderful about getting stark naked and running around the backyard. I didn't figure he would appreciate me posting a picture of him naked driving his John Deer tractor. After play time is over, we've been bringing dinner on the patio to whined down our evening.
A little chicken Parmesan, spaghetti, and garlic cheese toast!!

Today I picked up Pyper's first monogrammed outfit. I love owls so when I saw this onesie I knew sister had to have one complete with a bow and burp cloth to match. I've been pretty good about not buying anything. Actually, I've only purchased two bows and two outfits. Now that's impressive for me. I've been tempted to purchase A LOT of things, but I've convinced myself to at least wait until after her little sprinkle in a few weeks.

That's all I really have! Hope you all are having a wonderful Thursday! The weekend is upon us!
It's so surreal to see her name printed on something!

30 weeks!

How far along: 30 weeks. In the home stretch! Pyper will be here in 8 weeks or less. (Docs aren't letting me go past 38 weeks.)

Size of baby: According to thebump.com Pyper is the size of a cucumber (This seems odd to me) She is between 15.2 to 16.7 inches long and weighs between 2.5 to 3.8 pounds! (Our ultrasound was measuring 2 lbs 10 ounces last week so I'm guessing she has gained a few ounces)

Total weight gain: 22 lbs

Gender: IT'S A GIRL!!!!

Movement: Still moving like crazy. She has started getting the hiccups about once or twice a day. It's so strange and fun to feel, I waited and waited on Wade to get the hiccups and he never did that I could tell. It's just this repetitive rhythmic movement! She is very active at 11:00 p.m. I told Brody the other night I guess we can go ahead and plan on an 11:00 feeding before bedtime. :) The other night I was sitting up in bed and you could see my belly just rolling and bulging out for about 15 minutes.

Sleep: Still exhausted by the end of the day. I can usually fall asleep quickly but am still up several times to pee. I feel pretty rested in the morning which is better than none at all.

What I miss: Nothing

Cravings: Cereal, honey bunches of oats to be exact.

Symptoms: Extra sore boobs, leaking a little colostrum, and my sides are sore when I wake up in the morning, starting to have random BH contractions too. All pretty normal stuff, nothing to complain about here.

Maternity clothes: Still a good mixture of both.

Best moment this week: Getting to register for some fun girly things for our little Princess today. My sweet friends are throwing me a little shower to celebrate this angel in a few weeks. I got to pick out all kinds of cute frilly things!

Stay tuned for some big changes coming our way!!!

28 weeks in 4D

Yesterday we had another appointment to see how Pyper was growing and to see how my cervix was holding up. I was so excited to see baby girl and see how much she had filled out and already changed within the last month. These little babies truly are miracles.

The little blur on her forehead his her hand. The blur next to her neck is the umbilical cord.

Pyper looked wonderful! She was measuring right on track and all her organs looked healthy and normal, Thank you God! The last two times we had seen her she was breech, Brody and I immediately began praying that she would turn when t
he time was right, I really would like to avoid a c-section if possible due to the fact that I didn't have one the first go around and I would have TWO children at home while trying to recover from it. Thankfully, she WAS in head down position yesterday. I'm sure she still has room to flip around some more but we are praying she stays put and just continues to grow.

Based on her measurements they guessed she weighed about 2lbs 10 ounces. I can't believe she is already nearly 3 whole pounds. The first thing we all noticed was her little nose. It just seemed to stick out to us. I can't wait to kiss it!!

Another huge PRAISE, my cervix is still measure long and th
e cerclage seems to be holding well. My doctor said other than coming in for my weekly progesterone shots (which feel like a bee sting times 10) he would only check Pyper and I one more time next month and then take the cerclage out at 36 weeks. YIKES, this is flying by! I'm so thankful that everything looks well and I'm not restricted as much or having to do anything extreme this time. God is so good! Here are a few pictures of our little princess!

28 weeks, Hello Third Trimester WHOO HOO!!

How far along: 28 weeks. This week starts the third trimester! Can't believe it's here.

Size of baby: According to thebump.com Pyper is the size of a rutabaga! She is between 13.6 to 14.8 inches long and weighs between 1.5 to 2.5 pounds!

Total weight gain: 19 lbs

Gender: IT'S A GIRL!!!!

Movement: Still moving like crazy. Wade felt her move for the first time last week. I've tried to let him feel before and naturally she always stops kicking about that time, but last week I was laying in bed with him reading his night time story and she was kicking like crazy. I stopped and asked if he would like to feel his sister moving to which he happily said yes. About the time he laid his hand on my belly she gave him the biggest, hardest kick ever. His little face was priceless, it just lite up! He squealed and giggled and called his Daddy to come feel. So now every night he ask to feel his sister before bed.

Sleep: I'm tired but it's taking me longer to fall asleep these days. I usually can get into a pretty good movie before I ever feel like dozing off. Still getting up several times to use the bathroom. Other than that it's good.

What I miss: Nothing

Cravings: Cheeseburgers and cereal. Not together of course.

Symptoms: Extra sore boobs, leaking a little colostrum, and my sides are sore when I wake up in the morning, starting to have random BH contractions too. All pretty normal stuff, nothing to complain about here.

Maternity clothes: Still a good mixture of both.

Best moment this week: Getting to see our little princess in 4D Thursday. I'm sure she has grown since last month! Can't wait to see that sweet little face!!!

27 weeks

How far along: 27 weeks! Hard to believe this is the last week of the second trimester! Time seems to be speeding up now.

Size of baby: According to thebump.com Pyper is the size of a cauliflower! She is between 13.6 to 14.8 inches long and weighs between 1.5 to 2.5 pounds!

Total weight gain: 17 lbs

Gender: IT'S A GIRL!!!!

Movement: I feel like she is moving even more these days, thankfully, a lot of the movement is during the day now and not mostly at night. However, she is still moving quite a bit at night as well.

Sleep: Still getting up 3 or 4 times a night to use the bathroom. I'm still using a pillow to help support my bell and hips which usually helps me get comfy. Sleep is still really good though, if anything I'm feeling even more tired by the time bedtime rolls around. I know entering the third trimester and chasing a 2 1/2 yr old, plus picking up around here and taking care of house chores and dinner has a lot to do with that. I can't complain though.

What I miss: Nothing

Cravings: My sweet tooth is in full force, and hamburgers have sounded particularly good. Trying not to give in to either too much. And I try not to tell my sweet hubby about these cravings, he's quick to give his girls whatever they want! :)

Symptoms: Extra sore boobs, leaking a little colostrum, and my side are sore when I wake up in the morning, the added weight and having to sleep on my sides is the cause i'm sure.

Maternity clothes: Still a good mixture of both. However, I'm wearing my maternity jeans more and more, they are just so darn comfy.

Best moment this week: Know that as of next week, if for some reason I went into labor, there is an 85% chance of survival. What a huge relief. Not that i've been having any kind of problems but it's just comforting to know. I've received several bows and headbands for our little princess this week too and it just makes me that much more excited to see our sweet little angel. Not to mention I know about four different people that delivered babies within the last two weeks. So exciting!!!!

Wade's Big Boy Room

About three weeks ago we got Wade's big boy room all set up and him moved into it. I'm not sure who was more excited Wade or I. After the drawn out couple of week looking for furniture I was just relieved we were finally moving on it. However, when we got it all set up and started putting the bedding on and setting the decor out this momma totally sat down in the floor and bawled about how big her baby boy was. Let me just say, painting the nursery AND moving your first born to his new room was a little over whelming for the emotional pregnant momma.

The tears were gone when we saw how much he loved it though. He walked in, looked around, went to the nursery, went back to his new room and stripp
ed all his clothes off and crawled in bed as if to say "this is awesome!" I had a hard time getting him out of it!!! So with out further ado, here is his new room. There are still a few things that need to be done, my talented aunt will be here next month to paint his name real cute over the bed too!!
There is now a clock above the night stand and lamp. And like i said, his name will be painted cute and outdoorsy over his bed soon. We loved all the storage his dresser had to offer, it's not even full yet which makes me so happy!!

This isn't the best picture but it will have to do. To the left of the window is his art board that proudly displays all his cute artwork, of course he's toy buckets are underneath that, and then his chest of drawers to the right.
These are the decorations that sit on top of the chest of drawers. Yes, this is the picture that came in that frame, we are waiting to get a good one of him and sister together!
And this is one of my favorite Mary Engelbreit drawings. It says, Thank God for small favors. It hangs to the right of the chest of drawers.
