Tonight Mr. Wright and I went on a much needed date. We have had company the last couple of weekends I was needing so time with my adorable hubby. So we decided to go see the movie'Fireproof'. Wow, I'm so glad we did. The acting won't win a Golden globe or academy award but the meaning is far better than most movies out there. I could definitely sit through it again and will probably purchase when it comes out, just for those days or weeks when Mr. Wright and I need some improving in our relationship.

On a unhappy note....this week is going to stink. Lab report, test and test. UGGHH just a couple of more weeks till Thanksgiving. Thank goodness. and then when we come back finals and Christmas break! How wonderful.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Tonight was a pretty good Halloween. We had our niece come tricker treat at our house and then Mr. Wright and I ran some errands. We came home and cooked dinner together...continued opening the door for cute little tricker treaters and finally made it to bed with our sweet new doggy Izzy. We just enjoyed being together tonight! I love you Mr. Wright! Happy Halloween everybody!

Puppies, Family and Paintings

Last Sunday, my Dad and I drove to Dallas to pick up my new puppy. That's right, Mr. Wright finally gave in and let me get a puppy. We got a Yorkie from the same place mom got her yorkie. We named her Izzy! She is stinking cute. I love her and Brody won't admit it but she is growing on him too. The whole trip was so fun. It was nice, my dad and I don't ever get to do much just him and I. We talked the whole way and my dad LOVES to shop so we drug a few shopping bags around. It was so nice to be with him.

Yesterday my mom came to Lubbock so we could do a few more things to our house. We had a sweet lady come and paint more bible verses all over the house. I like walking into my bathroom in the morning and starting my day off with a bible verse. Corny I know but it starts the day off right. Mom and I had such a good time. Why is it that you can laugh with your mom so hard it makes you wanna pee and your laughing about nothing. I love that. I hate that is always seems like our time together is about an hour when actually it was a whole day. There is never enough time in the day for us. I guess that is a good thing because we have such a strong relationship and a good time but it just stinks. It really stinks that I can't see my parents whenever I want. I know people are probably saying grow up and put your big girl panties on. But a girl needs her mom sometimes. I'm a nerd I know. Just thought I needed to vent a little.

Tonight Mr. Wright and i are going to a football game. We haven't been to one all year. Actually we haven't done much the last to weekends. It will be nice to go out together. I love Mr. Wright so much. He's such a sweet man and has a lot of patience to but up with me. Poor guy, I have cried so much this last month for know reason and he was so sweet ever time. Thank you Mr. Wright for being the worlds greatest husband.

Much needed Family Time

Saturday after work Mr. Wright and I left for Stamford to see my parents for the weekend. I was needing some family time. Although it was a short trip it was so good to see everyone. Saturday when we got there my brother and Mr. Wright insisted they go shoot their new pistols together, so I stay at home with my sweet dad who has pneumonia and my precious mom who was already decorating/setting the dinning room table for Sunday lunch. Of course i got some sweet playing time in wit h my mom's new baby puppy Meg. She is too cute.

Then Sunday afternoon since Dad wasn't feeling to well we slept in and go up and had almost all the grandparents over for lunch. It's so awesome to sit around a table with the people you love the most. Really puts life back into perspective. Then my sweet friend Tristan and her adorable son Breck and baby #2 on the way came over to see us. We all took a nap, watched a movie...and about 9:00 p.m decided it was time to head back to the LBK. We pulled into our driveway about 12:15 and I fell into bed and dreamed about my own sweet new puppy.

sleeping with the lights on

My wonderful Mr. Wright left Monday morning for a business trip. Thankfully it was a short one and he will be back tomorrow. So last night and tonight I find myself in our house all alone for the first time (since we've only been married a little over a month).

It's funny on nights I beat Mr. Wright home I have no fears. Get home start supper, shower, begin homework, play on computer, catch nightly shows or whatever it is I choose to do before he gets home and I do all these things with out fear, I hear nothing in the house and I can relax. BUT here is how last night went:

  • Get home and lock ALL doors

  • Double check to make sure they are locked

  • Feed dogs with big heavy flash light in hand (aka weapon)

  • Freak myself out so let dogs in

  • Dogs get bored and knock over water (outside they go)

  • Stay on computer as late as possible

  • Take QUICK bath

  • Ice maker scares the pee out of me

  • Clocks seem to tick EXTRA loud (never even noticed them before)

  • Bed

  • Get out of bed and double check locks

  • lay down (get scared)

  • Turn bathroom and living room light on

Yeah I know....your probably thinking what a WEENIE. I know I am. I've never been like this. I used to stay at home a lot by myself AND my roommate wasn't always home when we lived together. There is just something about sleeping next to a man that a girl gets use to. It feels safe, and comforting. Thank you Mr. Wright for keeping my nights safe and light less.

P.S. If i had a little inside dog to sleep with this ALL could have been avoided. HINT HINT Mr. Wright!

Airplanes, Phalanges, and Yorkies

So Saturday my mom and I flew to Indiana to pick up the cutest puppy every. Yes i said Indiana. I'll wait why you think in your mind how crazy we are....done? I know your all wondering why we couldn't find a puppy in Tx. I couldn't find a breeder I was happy with here so Indiana it was. At the first of August mom lost her Yorkie of 6 yrs (aka child, baby). She was so sad i couldn't stand it so we found her a new cute baby.

The trip was long but FUN! We left from Lubbock at 6 am and flew all day and return home at 7 that evening. We changed planes 5 times all together. It was all worth it though. My mom is so wonderful and she is my very best friend. I know how cliche that sounds but really and truly the Lord couldn't have blessed me with a more fun, cooler, sweeter mom. She would do anything in the world for me and I for her. So since we live 2 1/2 hrs apart we had a lot to catch up on. We laughed and talked nonstop. Our running joke of the day was remembering the episode of Friends where Phebe tells Rachel the her plane is missing Phalanges. We laughed so hard.

It was so much fun. I wish I could have picked up the brother to my mom's puppy. He was cute too! I guess I'll have to keep working on Mr. Wright...until then my 2 Aussies will have to do.

Aww Fall...Yes Fall!

Today I decided to decorate for Fall. Although I had much to do, I though to myself...go work on more homework or get into Fall and decorate. I opted for the second choice. I love Fall. It's such a beautiful season. The leaves turn from green to yellows, browns, oranges, and reds and fall like rain. The mornings are chilly and crisp. Pumpkins and acorns are everywhere, chili is made and hot chocolate sipped in the evening. Children in adorable costumes ring your door bell...hoping you'll ewww and awe over them and receive candy. And fall will officially be here next Monday! How wonderful!

The week has just begun

6:45 came too early this morning! That's ok I thought...I'll go to class all day, come home and cook dinner and chill on the couch with my hubby Mr. Wright. Then it all came flooding back to me, photo assignment due thursday (these are a lot of work and take more than a couple of hours), video needs to be shot for video production, study for test thursday, and friday, wash sheets on guest bed for mom....and the list goes on and on. At least Mr. Wright got to enjoy his evening. Oh to be "grown up" and have a full time job. To break it down for you....school STINKS!
