17 Months

Wade, January 30th you turned 17 months! Yes Mommy is behind again! Honestly, not a whole lot has changed from 16 months. You are still just a busy little bee! ( Fixing out hair for church)

Here is what you've been up to this past month!
We had snow 3 three days this past week and you LOVED it. You really wanted to play in it but you wouldn't leave your gloves on so we couldn't stay out very long.

You are don't care for much meat these days. You're very picky about it. You won't eat chicken nuggets which honestly doesn't hurt my feelings, hot dogs are just ok, you love a chicken fajita burrito with queso from Rosa's, you love grilled chicken and steak, strawberries are still your favorite, you love apples as well, you've stopped eating macaroni and cheese, you still love your broccoli, you love twice baked potatoes, and we cant pry a box of raisins out of your hand if we tried.

You have really started staying "pees" and "tant you" when you want something and we hand it to you. You're big on saying "my momma" and you have started using your signs a lot more. Mainly, all done and more.

You have become even more attached to Nana the Monkey. You WILL NOT sleep with out it. It got left at daycare one night and needless to say you ended up in bed with us. It was a long night. When you finally did get him back you clung on to him and patted
his back like a mother does a baby, it was so cute! You feel he needs to sit in the highchair and eat with you and you cry and cry when I won't let him take a bath with you.
(Nana keeping him company on the way home from Grammy and Poppy's)

(Can't sleep without my monkey!)

(Or eat without him)

You have also become quite the climber which scares me to death. You try to climb on the piano, on the crib, up your recliner, on the kitchen table, up my m
e, you're climbing everywhere!!! I'm waiting for the day that you climb out of your bed! Something tells me we'll be converting to the toddler bed sooner than later. (An important business call in my office with my coffee.... I mean milk)

We want so bad to give you a baby brother or sister but you could care less. I'll ask if you want one and you shake your head furiously and say "NO." However, if we ask if you want a bubba or sissy you WILL say "bubba." Not sure if you just like the word or if you feel something deep down. Only time will tell I suppose.

Miss Aaron says you have started wrestling with Hunter and Graham at daycare. She said y'all think it is so funny and so much fun. Daddy is proud of this of course. You also love for me to hold you upside down. I see the little boy in you more and more everyday.
(Riding in the car with Elmo today)

You still will stop whatever you're doing and come give me a kiss and a hug when I ask for one. Which melts my heart! If Daddy ask for a kiss you come give me one instead. You would prefer to "bonk" him, which is a gentle headbutt! Dad thinks this is much more manly anyway.

Dad has you wild about balls. You love to play with a basketball and football and a little bouncy ball. Dada can tell you to find the ball and you go running and come back with as many as you can carry! This of course makes Daddy very happy.

Words: Tant you (Thank you), Pees (please), B (for uncle Brant), Pop (Poppy), Ammy (Grammy), Bookie (Brooke), Pawpaw (Papaw), Nana, Love, milk, w
ater, emo (elmo), Momma, Dada. I'm sure there are more, I just can't remember them all.

You love COOKIES!!! I made the mistake of buying girls scout cookies and I'm pretty sure you haven eaten most of them!

Our favorite time together is still your bedtime story. There is nothing like you snuggling up with my in your rocking chair and laying your head on
my chest while I read to you. If I let you choose the book you ALWAYS pick the Bible. You also love the Bernstein Bears with the flaps that you can lift up yourself. After your story you are always ready for bed! ( I love my bath tablets that change the water colors!)

I just can't believe you are almost 1 1/2. Time is flying by too fast. I find you doing something like me chasing you through the aisle at church yesterday and you squealing in delight and running and laughing and I just want to freeze time. I want to remember every second with you. I continue to pray that you would humble yourself before the Lord and His diligent servant. I pray that you would just be broken for Him and seek Him in all you do. We love you so much and we continue to fall more and more in love with you daily. We love you sweet boy!

(Cheap entertainment, and no we did not put him in there, he got in by himself!)
